"F" Words - The Most Accurate Dream Symbols

In order to be the most accurate dream site in the world, we have limited our dream symbol dictionary to only include dream symbols that we have seen manifest in real-life firsthand and Biblical dream symbols that have been defined in the Bible.

Dream symbols that begin with the letter “F”

Faces – Lincoln had a vision of two faces in a mirror before his death.

Hours after his election in 1860, while Lincoln was waiting in Springfield, Illinois for the last report on the vote, he had a strange experience. He had retired to his quarters for a much-needed rest, and was reclining on a settee when he was startled by his reflection in a large mirror, opposite him. Lincoln later described the baffling sight to a friend: “My face, I noticed, had two separate and distinct images. One of the faces was a little paler – about five shades – than the other.”

Lincoln stood up, and the image melted away. He lay down, and it returned. Every time he attempted to recreate the effect, (even days later) he was successful. Nevertheless, he was the only one who could see it. The President’s wife, Mary Todd Lincol, was disturbed by his account of the phenomenon. She believed that the corpse-like shadow her husband was projecting was an omen. According to her interpretation, the healthy, normal reflection represented Lincoln’s first term in office. The paler, less substantial image symbolized a second term, which he would begin, but never finish.

Family members or various people – represent themselves and/or sometimes they are a symbol for the place they live.

Famous person – worldly, could be someone who looks simliar to someone that you know, could represent the famous person needing prayer.

Farmer – The Bible parable of the sower shows up in dreams as farmers, those sowing seeds, or it is literal and means a real farmer.

Fetters – bondage, addiction.

Flames – Flames can represent an actual wildfire, persecution, refinement, trial by fire.

Fish – Christians, fish, swimming. provision (financial/material).

Dream of fish walking: The main feeling in the dream was of being creeped out. The fulfillment was a few weeks later. I was in a fish store and felt something crunch under my boot. There were four fish on the floor. Being on the floor was what the walking represented. When an animal is doing something they don’t normally do it often represents something to do with that action. Walking – we walk on the floor, fish don’t.

Fishing – witnessing (fishers of men).Flying – supernatural gifts, spiritual realm, walking in the glory – out of body experience, freedom, extreme joy, or very significant success.

Flying high – reaching higher spiritual goals

Flying low – FLY HIGHER!!!

Frog – Seeing a frog in a dream can represent your prince charming. It can represent a fish that jumps out of the water.

Fruit – Spiritual gifts; fruit of the spirit; love, joy, peace, purchases, prosperity

Funeral – Spiritual death, end of a chapter of your life, literally can mean death as in Abraham Lincoln’s funeral:

Ten days before Lincoln’s fateful last trip to the theater, Lincoln had an ominous dream that foretold his imminent death:

I retired late. I soon began to dream. There seemed to be a deathlike stillness about me. Then I heard the subdued sobs, as if a number of people were weeping. I thought I left my bed and wandered downstairs. There the silence was broken by the same pitiful sobbing, but the mourners were invisible. I went from room to room; no living person was in sight, but the same mournful sounds of distress met me as I passed along.

It was light in all the rooms; every object was familiar to me; but where were all the people who were grieving as if their hearts would break? I was puzzled and alarmed. What could be the meaning of all this? Determined to find the cause of a state of things so mysterious and so shocking, I kept on until I arrived at the East Room, which I entered. Before me was a catafalque, on which rested a corpse wrapped in funeral vestments. Around it were stationed soldiers who were acting as guards; and there was a throng of people, some gazing mournfully upon the corpse, whose face was covered, others weeping pitifully. “Who is dead in the White House?” I demanded of one of the soldiers. “The President,” was his answer. “He was killed by an assassin.”

Ten days later, he was dead.

On the day of his assassination, President Lincoln told his cabinet members:

“Gentlemen,” the President said, “before long you will have important news.” When the men pressed Lincoln for details, he told them of a recurring dream that he’d had for the third time the night before. “It is always the same,” he explained. “I am in a boat, alone on a boundless ocean. I have no oars, no rudder. I am helpless. I drift. Something extraordinary is going to happen, and very soon.”

They were prophetic dreams for that evening, Lincoln was assassinated while attending the theatre.
